On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the Energy and Sustainability sector in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Health & Safety Officer to join its team in Nicosia, on a full-time basis.

Health & Safety Officer – (Ref. 6200/HSO/ESS/CY)
The Scope:
- Operates autonomously on health & safety matters across assigned sites
- Responsible for upholding company standards and addressing non-compliance
- Escalates critical or recurring issues to senior management
- May be involved across multiple entities within the wider group, depending on operational needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular site visits across PV parks and solar installation projects, including net metering and net billing systems
- Ensure full compliance with applicable health & safety legislation, EU directives, and internal policies
- Identify potential risks, unsafe behaviours, or deviations from standards and take appropriate corrective actions
- Intervene immediately in cases of critical safety risk, including recommending or enforcing work stoppage where necessary
- Review completed installations ahead of authority inspections and grid connection processes
- Monitor site conditions, including safety practices, organisation, and overall quality of execution
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports, including site observations, non-conformities, and corrective actions
- Escalate incidents, near misses, and key risks to senior stakeholders in a timely manner
- Provide practical guidance to teams on improving safety standards and mitigating operational risks
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of health & safety procedures and overall project quality
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Recognised H&S certification (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent)
- 3–5 years of experience within construction, energy, or renewable projects
- Strong knowledge of Cyprus health & safety regulations and on-site practices
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of site safety matters
- Valid driving licence
- Experience with photovoltaic (PV) systems, solar parks, or related energy infrastructure will be considered as an advantage
- Background in inspections, audits, or compliance-focused roles
- Membership in a relevant professional body
- Fluent in Greek and English
