Albourne is a global financial services group of companies. Our objective is to advise our clients to be the best investors they can be. The company’s main areas of focus are fund research, portfolio and risk advice, FinTech and implementation. The Nicosia office opened in 1998 and it provides back office and IT services to the regulated companies of the Albourne group; it currently has over 300 dynamic employees and we are looking to have more to join our teams across various functions.

Role in Brief

Albourne maintains multiple websites for clients (investors) and alternative investment managers. These are complex tools to manage and analyse data on alternative investments, support portfolio construction, model risk, exposures and fees, and so forth. These tools require complex data management, large volumes of data processing, applications of machine learning and employ advanced statistical analysis and modelling. As a Software Developer you will participate in the implementation, testing and trouble-shooting of these software tools

Insights to the Role

• Designing and developing software in cooperation with business users
• Observing a test-driven development process
• Accurately estimating required development time
• Refactoring existing code to improve security, maintainability, efficiency, resilience and the user experience
• Pro-actively seek to improve efficiencies, user experience, maintainability and resilience
• Stay abreast of new technological and design developments

Who You Are

• You should be fluent in spoken and written English.
• You like working in teams with other developers, business analysts, business users in an international environment.
• You should have a Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similar
• You have a love of programming and solving complex problems
• You should have good knowledge of Java ​
• Knowledge of SQL (Postgres) is a plus
• Knowledge of financial concepts is a plus
